Signs will lead the way

No, you won't be doing any of this on our Rallye!

This year’s Mini Meet West Rallye will be a scenic tour through the Eastern San Francisco bay area, including Mt. Diablo State Park. It will be a non-time, non-speed event.  The route will be easy to follow; if you can follow simple instructions you won’t get lost.

Awards will be given in five classes:  first timer or experienced for classic Mini, first timer or experienced for new MINI, and “Coup des Dames” for all-ladies teams. Those who wish may participate as “tour only” for a non-scored entry.

At the start of the rallye, along with your route instructions, you will receive several pages of photographs taken along the route. Each page will occur only along a specific section of the route, but those photos are not in any order. Your challenge is to identify where each photo was taken, and record the mileage to the closest  tenth of a mile. A portion of your score will be based on your answers to questions asked of you at any checkpoints along the way.

I think you will find this enjoyable, because the navigator won’t have to keep his or her head down glued to the instructions the entire time, and the driver won’t have to keep an eye on the exact speed they are driving.

We hope you’ll join us for this fun event, always a favorite at Mini Meets.
