Kids Activities

For those who have brought the whole family, we hope to provide some fun activities for the kids to make them feel part of the Meet and give parents a little break to spend time with their cars.

Alan Smith of Scalextric USA and ClassicMini.us will be running the MMW 2005 Mini/MINI Slot Car Autocross. Scalextric has been around 2 years longer than our favorite car the Mini, starting in 1957. A household name in England just like the Mini, Scalextric is a fun game for all the Family. Alan will be running 2 events to add to the Fun at MMW 2005.

This is a fun event for the kids, and adults can play too. Check at the registration desk for times of the runs. Awards will be given for the winners of this event, which will be run in a hospitality room at the hotel.

During the Concours and Car Show on Friday, kids can participate in a T-shirt painting party. Graciously donated by our Official Clothier, Marilyn Egler of Classic Ride Designs , T-shirts with a picture of a Mini on them will be set up along with fabric paints for the kids to decorate and take home. Look for the painting table under an easy-up in the parking lot.

Check at registration for other kids' events which may be organized throughout the meet. At press time, we have promises of a Mini body shell for the kids to paint; this is always a favorite at the Mini Meet.
