Mini Meet is an annual gathering of Mini owners and fans, with traditions dating back to 1973. The 2005 West Meet will be the first ever co-hosted by a Classic Mini and a New MINI club. All Minis and variants from 1959 onward are welcome to help us celebrate the wonderful Mini. You need not bring a Show Car, or even a car at all, to come and enjoy the weekend. This is a family-friendly event, with activities planned even for the children.

Mini Meet West 2005 will take place July 29 to 31 in the area surrounding northern California's Mt. Diablo. The tentative schedule will feature a Concours event on Friday the 29th, Rallye on Saturday the 30th, Autocross and Funkhana on Sunday the 31st, culminating in a gala awards banquet at the renowned Blackhawk Automotive Museum. Many other special events will fill out the weekend. To avoid the rush and have time to chat with your long-lost Mini friends, plan to arrive Thursday evening for early registration and camaraderie.

This year's Meet promises to be the biggest so far, and for the first time ever we may have to limit the number of cars. We can seat a maximum of 500 people at the banquet. To avoid disappointment, we encourage you to enter early.

A $95 entry fee includes participation in all driving and social events, dash plaque, goody bag, program, and entrance to the Blackhawk Museum. Entries received by June 15, 2005 will also receive a free event t-shirt.

Northern California has many attractions for the would-be vacationer. Within an easy drive of the San Ramon Marriott are San Francisco, 35 miles, the Pacific Ocean at Half Moon Bay, 48 miles, the redwoods at Big Basin State Park, 75 miles, Lake Tahoe, 195 miles, and just steps from Dublin, California. Other notable nearby destinations include Infineon Raceway, Yosemite and Sequoia National Parks, Monterey Peninsula, Napa Wine Country, Sutter's Mill Gold Discovery Site, just to name a few.

Expect the weather to be in the 80s to 90s, with low humidity and no chance of rain. Bring your cutoffs, sandals, swim suits and sun screen, but leave your umbrella behind.
